Medi Spa & Tan in the Meridian center at the east end of Hemet offers a wide
range of therapeutic and “feel-better” products and services.
Owners Sandra Alderson and Mercy Champlin are committed to provide high
quality, comprehensive services as well as products. Services are our
initial focus, but we will be adding products as we find items that deliver
good value and quality results.
Our services will include massage therapy, facials, skin care, waxing,
tanning, microdermabrasion and chiropractic. Focus Clinic of Orange County
will be joining us to provide laser hair removal.
Biography
Sandra, born and raised in San Bernardino, CA has been a teacher and
welfare worker in various parts of Riverside and San Bernardino Counties for
many years. When she recently retired, she found that she missed meeting and
helping folks. Sandra has been a longtime client of the Health Rhythms Medi
Spa in Riverside, owned by Mercy Champlin. While
discussing Sandra’s newfound spare time with her friend Mercy, they decided
to open another Medi Spa. This would be a way to keep her hand in as a people
person as well as a chance to be her own boss for a change.
The San Jacinto Valley was chosen for several reasons. Having lived and
worked throughout the Inland Empire, Sandra knew and liked the area. She
preferred the friendlier more rural, “small town” feel to the frantic hustle
of the bigger cities. And, the Health Rhythms clients living in and around,
Hemet had been asking Mercy, for years, to open a Spa in their city to
lessen their drive time to obtain service.
The grand opening of the Health Rhythms Medi Spa & Tan at 4250 E. Florida
Avenue, Hemet, CA 92544 is tentatively set for mid-June.
Hobbies
Sandra and Mercy have a long-time involvement in the study and
re-enactment of the middle ages. Many of their crafts and other middle ages
objects will appear around the Medi Spa as decorations. Sandra’s
mother-in-law was Chottie Alderson, an internationally known teacher of
various needlework skills and Sandra hopes to carry on her legacy as well.
Never one to have too little to do, Sandra (along with her sister-in-law Ley
Cash) is also building a internet business making Chottie’s designs and
projects available to folks everywhere
